Eligibility Criteria for Customs Preventive Commissionerate Vijayawada Group “C” Jobs 2017

Educational Qualification:

1. Sukhani - Essential I) 8th standard pass. II) 7 years service on sea going vessel with 2 years experience in independent handling of mechanized craft fitted with auxillary sails. Desirable I) Certificate of Competency for Inland Master second class, (or) B) Certificate of Service and II) Matriculation or equivalent.

2. Senior Deck Hand - Essential I) 8th standard pass. II) 5 years service on sea going vessel with 2 years experience in helmsman and seamanship work. Desirable I) Certificate of fishery training school. II) Matriculation or equivalent.

3. Launch Mechanic - Essential I) 8th Standard Pass. II) 5 years service on sea going vessel with 1 year independent charge of Engine and auxiliary Machinery. Desirable I) Certificate of competency for Inland Driver Class - II AND Certificate of Service. II) Matriculation or equivalent.

4. Seaman - Essential I) 10th standard pass or equivalent. II) 3 years service on sea going mechanized vessel with 2 years experience in helmsman and seamanship work. Desirable I) Certificate of competency as “Mate of fishing vessel” issued by Marine Mercantile Department.

5. Greaser - Essential: I) 10th pass or equivalent. II) 3 years service on sea going mechanized vessel on main and auxiliary machinery maintenance. Desirable I) Certificate of competency as "Engine Driver" of fishing vessel issued by Marine Mercantile Department. II) Matriculation or equivalent.

Age Limit:

Candidate’s Age Limit Should be between (For Post 1, 2, 3 - 18 to 30 Years), (For Post 4, 5 - 18 to 25 Years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
