How to Prepare for AIEEE Exams

By With No comments:
Preparing for AIEEE is a challenge unto itself. The questions are on applied science and each question encompasses within itself several concepts which must be decoded and incorporated in the procedure of finding a solution. The following ten tips might help an individual to find this solution and make it to AIEEE:

Exam Preparation Tips for AIEEE

Tip #1

The skill most required for clearing the examination is error free and quick calculation, in other words speed with accuracy is the key to success.

Tip #3

More than anything else AIEEE is the test of your mental set-up. One needs to be a planner, by keeping in mind their strengths and weaknesses, and with the time available they should have a meticulous plan of study. Set up milestones according to months, weeks, days and hours.

Tip #4

Tip #5

A person attempting for AIEEE exam should be a person of determination and strong will power, who executes the plans steadfastly and thoroughly. Remember! Making a plan and not acting upon that will never take you anywhere.

Tip #6

The basics should be well known to the students, because once that is deciphered, the rest is not difficult. Often, students commit mistake while understanding the question and the concepts which have helped assemble the question.

Tip #7

Don't unnecessarily take guidance and advice from others. Figure out exactly where you are stuck and search for the answer from reliable sources i.e. teachers, books or magazines. Have your own impression of everything as the question could be anything related to subjects, your attitude etc.

Tip #8

The candidates must have thorough knowledge of the subjects as they are tested twice for the same subjects. They must have aptitude for science and a love for solving problems..

Tip #9

High power of concentration is a must for students appearing for AIEEE because they require working with absolute perfection in order to arrive at the correct answer.

Tip #10

Lastly, never give up your preparation. Those who make to the cut-off are the ones who try till the last day and remain in the battle till the end. So, don't stop when you are feeling desperate, just take a break, re-energize yourself and start moving again.

The number of public sector banks where successful candidates may get allocated amounts to roughly 20. Set up by the banking industry, IBPS was launched in 1975 and became an independent entity in 1984. Today, IBPS is a prestigious institute that has complete control over the recruitment, placement and promotion of candidates at public sector banks. It is mandatory for candidates to take the examinations conducted by IBPS to secure a great future in public sector banks.

Examination process

The exam includes a Common Written Exam followed by an interview. Only those who clear the written test are eligible for the interview.

Common Written Exam

The Common Written Exam was introduced by IBPS in 2011 for the selection of officers and clerks in the banks. The test is of 200 marks and will cover five areas: Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Reasoning, Computer Knowledge and English Language.

Common interview

Initially, the participating banks conducted the common interview. But since 2012, IBPS has taken up the responsibility to arrange the common interview at various locations. IBPS POExam Syllabus and Tips for Preparation

Reasoning

This tests your power of observation and mental ability. As this section has the one of the highest allocation of marks, try to practice it thoroughly. This is also a section where you can get good scores. While you are preparing for this section, concentrate on solving a lot of problems like mirror images and problems that involve figures.

Quantitative Aptitude

This section tests a person's mathematical ability. It covers areas like probability, time and distance, mensuration, profit and loss, number system, fractions and the like. To prepare for this section, practice as many sums as possible. Try to learn multiplication tables by heart. Also try to solve questions by using mental tricks. Practice, practice and more practice is the key to achieving good scores here.

General Awareness

This is also a scoring section. Usually 75% of the questions are related to the banking field, while 25% is allocated to current affairs. To score good marks, keep yourself abreast with the current banking policies, various changes they may have undergone, the causes, the impact the policy changes had on the economic situation of the country, and the like. You can also refer to the last Budget that was presented and the present economic scenario of the country. Apart from this, keep yourself updated with latest happenings in the field of science, history, geography, and other areas. Reading newspapers and watching news on TV regularly will also help you prepare for this section.

English language

This section is usually taken for granted and candidates end up not putting in too many hours of practice. However, it is important that they come fully prepared for this section, after all it is for 40 marks. The test will check the candidate's command over the language. To prepare, one can start reading English newspapers regularly, learn a couple of new words every day, note down the antonyms and synonyms of words, practice comprehension, and watch English news on a regular basis. Apart from this, one can learn and practice grammar. There are online grammar tests too that you can take.

Computer knowledge

This is usually an easy section and is based on simple applications. If you know the basics of computers and the working of MS Windows and MS Office, you will be able to score decent marks in this section. You may also choose to refer to basic NCERT Computer books.

Time management: Learn to manage time effectively. When you are taking the exam, divide your time in such a manner that you are able to attempt all the questions. Have a clear plan in mind before you walk into the examination hall. In the hall, you just need to execute the plan. It may seem difficult to answer 200 questions in 120 minutes, but with a little bit of smartness and practice, you can give it a shot.

Regular reading

If you aspire to make a career in a public sector bank, make it a habit to read newspapers, magazines on current affairs and business and books on banking.

Mock tests

There are many tests available online that will test your general and quantitative aptitude. Try to take up as many online tests as possible. This will not only give you confidence but also help you build a strategy to handle the exam in a successful manner.

Hope these tips have been helpful to you. Best of luck for your exam.

How to Prepare for IAS Exams

By With No comments:
Every person is born with a particular potential which is unique to him. People are of different types and not all of them are brilliant students. Many work hard to get good marks, while others don't and yet manage to score well during examinations. There are also students who study hard but don't get the desired percentage. How to prepare for exams is a big question. Here are a few preparation tips to help students ace in exams:

Top 10 Exam Preparation Tips

Good Time Table

Before starting with the studies, students should design their own time-table which directs all the material that has to be covered and tells them how much is needed to be studied each day. A schedule of every subject should be made with different priorities. Tough subjects and the ones in which a student is weak should be given more hours, and easier ones should be given less hours with sufficient intervals between each subject. The timetable should very importantly have breaks in between.

Loose that Fear

Fear and stress are one of the major factors which tend to become an obstacle in getting high percentage. One should loose all the fear and free his mind.

Approximating a certain score to achieve is beyond our control .This fact also needs to be understood by parents, who should not pressurize their children but rather boost up their confidence.

Don't Cram, Make Notes

Students should let go off the cramming part as it is not a good method of studying. Instead of this, they should make short notes while studying. Cramming everything can result in forgetting everything and making brief notes can help in remembering all points while revising the subject.

Where to Study?

If the big question of where to study confuses you, the answer to it is very simple-study in a place where you feel comfortable, relaxed and where you can concentrate properly. If you can, study early morning, head to a library or any place where you find a quiet ambience.

Trust God and Yourself

Students should meditate or pray well before the exam as it helps in relaxing their mind and also provides immense energy and peace to the mind. And it is much important that you are confident about yourself of producing splendid result.

Sleep and Eat Well

The biggest mistake students commit during exam time is that they don't sleep and eat well. They think sleeping is a waste of time. They should believe in the fact that they need to sleep between 6-8 hours a day. They also need to take care of their diet. They should try and avoid eat junk food, and instead include food which supplies continuous energy to their brain for a longer period of time.

Time to Study

Time is possibly the most important factor. According to a research conducted, human brain is in its most active state between 5 am to 8 am in the morning and in the evening between 7 pm to 11 pm. Therefore, students who study during these timings have the maximum retention power in comparison with others.

Use Creative Techniques

If students find their subjects boring, they can convert their chapters into various types of games such as repetition, flash cards and mnemonics. Students should sit with their notebook and write over and over, draw flash cards with information on them and go over them regularly, design funny rhymes or word associations to help remember the points.

Never Cheat in Exam Hall

Students should always be advised by their parents as well their teachers as to not use any kind of malpractice in exam hall as it may prove to be harmful for them and their future. If an answer is not known by them, they shouldn't attempt it as they have to prove no one but themselves.

Write Neat and Present Well

When students write neatly and present their answer sheet in a proper way, they have more chances of securing high marks. Many times the teacher is not able to read all the answers but if she gets impressed by the way it has been presented then it would definitely lead to less deduction of marks.
