Eligibility Criteria for IIT Roorkee Vacancy 2018:

Educational Qualification:

1. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) - Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology or equivalent preferably first class with 3 years relevant experience.

2. General Duty Medical Officer - MBBS from a university, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) with at least two years of experience in a recognized Hospital. Preference will be given to the candidates who have the qualification of MD/MS Degree or PG Diploma with two years experience in a recognized Hospital

3. Senior Medical Officer (Psychiatrist) - MD /MS from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) In the appropriate branch of a medicine. OR PG Diploma from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI), in the appropriate branch of medicine + at least two years of experience in a recognized Hospital.

4. Scientific Officer, Grade-II - M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation with a 1st class or its equivalent grade. OR B.E./B.Tech. in the appropriate branch as above with a 1st class or its equivalent grade with two years relevant experience.OR M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Computer Science or Master of Computer Application (MCA) with a 1st class or its equivalent grade with two years relevant experience.

5. Chief Medical Officer - MD/MS in an appropriate branch of Medicine plus at least Eleven years experience in a recognized hospital of which at least Five years must be at the level of Senior Medical Officer.

6. Sports Officer - A Ph.D. in Physical Education. Candidates from outside the university system, in addition, shall also possess at least 55% marks (or an ! equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level by the University concerned. ii) Eight years experience as University Assistant DPES/College DPES, with a benefit of two years and one year for PhD and M.Phil Degree holders.

7. Assistant Sports Officer - A Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record. ii) Record of having represented the University/ College at the interuniversity/ inter-collegiate competitions or the State and/ or national championship.

8. Deputy Registrar - A Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in UGC 7 point scale along with:- (i) Nine years of experience assistant Professor in the AGP Rs. 6000 and, above with experience in educational administration, or (ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/ or other Institutions of Higher Education, or (iii) Five years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or in an equivalent post.

9. Counsellor - PhD in the area of Psychology with at least the good 2nd class ill preceding Master Degree in Psychology. ii) Two years experience in counselling as a Psychologist in an academic institution of repute

10. Assistant Registrar - Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of ‘E’ in ‘the UGC 7 pt scale along with a good academic record.

11. Technical Officer, Level-I - M.Tech. m Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Biotechnology /Instrumentation with good 2nd class or equivalent. OR Master of Computer Applications with good (2nd class) or equivalent.OR B.Tech. m the Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Biotechnology/ Instrumentation with good 2nd class or its equivalent with Two years relevant experience. Assistant Librarian - A Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in UGC seven point scale plus a consistently good academic record and at least Five years of relevant experience. ii) Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

Age Limit:

Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1, 3, 5, 7, 14 - 35 Years), (For Post 2, 13 - 40 Years), (For Post 4, 6, 8 - 50 years).
