Eligibility Criteria for IIG Vacancy 2018:

Educational Qualification:

1. Technical Officer I - First or high second class Master’s degree in Physics (2) 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute / University

2. Senior Technical Assistant - First or high second class Master's degree in Geophysics 2 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory/Institute/University.

3. Superintendent - Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 5 years experience in the lower grade or equivalent in similar capacity in administration and related work in a Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking/Private Sector of repute.

4. Assistant - Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce with 3 years experience as UDC or equivalent post in a Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector undertaking/Private Sector of repute.

5. Upper Division Clerk - Bachelors Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce.

6. Stenographer (Grade II) - 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University

Age Limit:

Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1, 4 - 35 Years), (For Post 2 - 33 Years), (For Post 3 - 40 Years), (For Post 5, 6 - 27 Years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. 1. Technical Officer I - Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-

2. Senior Technical Assistant - Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-

3. Superintendent - Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-

4. Assistant - Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-

5. Upper Division Clerk - Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/-

6. Stenographer (Grade II) - Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400

How to Apply for IIG Application Form:  

The candidates may apply on the form downloadable at www.iigm.res.in together with the requisite application fee of Rs. 300/- by crossed demand draft. The prescribed application form can also be obtained from the office of the Registrar, IIG, by paying an application fee of Rs. 300/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel, either in person between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on working days (Monday to Friday) OR it can be obtained by post by sending an application along with the application fee and a self-addressed stamped (for Rs. 10/-) envelope superscribing “Request for Application Form”. For SC/ST (on production of valid caste certificate) & female candidates, application form will be issued free of cost. Filled in applications should reach the office of the Registrar, IIG, on or before 31.01.2018.
