Eligibility Criteria for NIE Chennai Vacancy 2017:

Educational Qualification:

1. Scientist-C (Medical/Non-Medical) (Laboratory) - MD (Microbiology) with one (1) year R&D/ teaching experience OR First class Master’s degree in Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology/Allied Health Sciences from a recognized university with four (4) years experience in Microbiology after 1st Class Master’s Degree. OR Second class M.Sc + Ph.D degree, in Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology/Allied Health Sciences from a recognized University with four (4) years experience

2. Project Assistant (Lab) - Graduate in Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology from a recognized university with three years work/research experience from a recognized institution (or) Master’s degree in Microbiology/Medical Lab Technology from a recognized university.

Age Limit:

Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1 - 40 Years), (For Post 2 - 30 years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Pay Scale:

1. Scientist-C (Medical/Non-Medical) (Laboratory)

Medical: Rs. 64,000/- + HRA per Month

Non-Medical: Rs. 51,000/- + HRA per Month

2. Project Assistant (Lab) - Rs.31, 000/- per month
