Eligibility Criteria
for SER Vacancy 2018:
Educational Qualification:
Candidates
who have completed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent
examination (OR) A pass in Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized
Board and having ITI certificate may also apply to be posted as Tech-III or
equivalent from a recognized Institute are Eligible to apply SER Recruitment 2018
Minimum Sports Norms for
recruitment
a)
Represented the Country in any of the Championships /Events in the World Cup
(Junior/ Senior Category)/ World Championships (Junior/ Senior Category)/ Asian
Games (Senior Category)/ Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) OR b) At least
3rd position, in any of Championships I Events in the Commonwealth
Championships (Junior/Senior Category)/ Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior
/Senior Category) I South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior Category)/ USIC
(World Railways) Championships (Senior Category) OR c) At least 3rd position in
Senior/ Youth/ Junior National Championships. OR d) At least 3rd Position in
National Games Organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association OR e) At
least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championship organized under
the aegis of Association of Indian Universities OR f) 1st Position in
Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category)
Age Limit: (As on 01.01.2018)
Candidate’s
Age Limit Should be between 18 Years to 25 years. The Upper age limit is
relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with
Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for
Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will

Pay Scale Details for SER:
Pay Scale: Rs.
5200 - 20, 200/- with 2000/1900 Grade Pay
Selection Procedure for SER:
Candidates will be
selected based on Sports Trials, Interview
Selection will be based
upon performance in sports Trials and Interview. Certificate (Sports &
Educational) Verification will be done by a duly constituted Recruitment
Committee of this Railway. The venue & date for Trials and Interview I
Certificate Verification will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due
course.

(i) The Examination fee
as detailed below to be paid by way of IPO, or Bank Draft. Date of issue of IPO
I Bank Draft should not before the date of this notification.
(a) For candidates belonging to UR/OBC - Rs. 500/- (Rupees
Five hundred only)
(b) For candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Ex.Servicemen/
Persons with Disabilities(PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward
Classes. - Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two hundred Fifty only) Bank Draft/IPO should be
issued in favour of FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach - 700043,
payable at GPO/Kolkata. (Candidates must write their name, full address at the space
provided in the IPO. Applications received with cash I Money Order/ Central Recruitment
Fees stamps /Cheque will not be accepted and hence will be rejected.)
(ii) For claiming waiver
of examination fee, minority candidates should furnish 'Self declaration' as
mentioned in Annexure-111 along with the application form. Minority candidates
