per the recent NIOT Chennai notification 2018, the eligibility details like
Educational Qualification & Age Limit for the Scientific Assistant job has

|
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technology in the
relevant subject from a recognized University or its equivalent with at least
first Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree level + Sixteen years
experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning, Administration,
Supervision or training, etc., in the general field of ocean technology &
engineering.

Scientist - F (Life Science)
|
Master’s degree in Life Science in marine biology, biotechnology,
environmental science from a recognized University / National Laboratories or
its equivalent with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree
level + Sixteen years experience in Research and Development, Survey,
Planning, Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in any of the field
of environmental science and engineering, marine biotechnology, cage culture
of fishes, coastal ecosystems, climate change.

Scientist - D (Civil)
|
: Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural / Ocean Engineering or
Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized University or its
equivalent with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree
level + Seven years experience in Research and Development, Survey, Planning,
Administration, Supervision or training, etc., in any of the areas of ocean
technology or engineering like offshore structure design and implementation,
coastal protection, port and harbor engineering, environmental engineering.

Scientist - B (Civil)
|
Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural / Ocean Engineering
or Technology in the relevant subject from a recognized University or its
equivalent with at least First Class (60% marks) in the qualifying degree
level.
Desirable: Master’s degree in Civil / Structural / Ocean Engineering /
Soil or Foundation Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University /
Institute.

Three (03) years of Diploma in Engineering after 10+2 (with 60% marks)

How to apply
NIOT Chennai Scientific Assistant Vacancy?
The application form is available online on NIOT website
http://www.niot.res.in/index.php/ recruitment. The candidate has to fill the
application online and upload recent passport size photograph (to enable issue
of admit card for appearing test) latest by 26th November, 2018 upto 5.30 p.m.
Upon submission, an online Registration Number will be provided by the system.
After allotment of Registration Number, the candidate has to take print out and
send the same duly signed along with self-attested copies of the following
certificates to reach the Director, National Institute of Ocean Technology,
Velachery – Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai – 600100, India within 07
days (15 days for those in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram,
Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu and Kashmir State
Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba District of Himachal
Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep)
from the date of closing of online submission.

(d) Community Certificate in the prescribed format issued by the
