Eligibility Criteria for MPSC Vacancy 2018:

Educational Qualification:

1. Sub-Inspector in the State Excise Department - i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations - These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination.

2. Tax Assistant - i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations - These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination. iii) English Typing 30 WPM.

3. Clerk-Typist (Marathi) - i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations - These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination. iii) Marathi Typing 30 WPM.

4. Clerk-Typist (Marathi) (English) - i) Any other equivalent qualification declared by the Government that is equivalent to the degree of Statutory University or equivalent to it. ii) To qualify for admission to the main examination based on the results of the joint examinations - These candidates should have passed the degree till the last date prescribed for acceptance of the application for the main examination. iii) English Typing 40 WPM.

Age Limit:

Candidate’s Age Limit Should be between (For Sub-Inspector in the State Excise Department - 18 years to 38 years), (For Tax Assistant - 18 years to 38 years), (For Clerk-Typist - 19 years to 38 years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Pay Scale Details for MPSC:

Pay Scale:

1. Sub-Inspector in the State Excise Department - Rs.5200 - 20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.3500/-

2. Tax Assistant - Rs.5200 - 20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.2400/-

3. Clerk-Typist (Marathi) - Rs.5200 - 20200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1900/-
