Eligibility Criteria for NIOT Chennai Vacancy 2018:

Educational Qualification:

1. Research Associate (RA) - Ph.D (Oceanography /Physical Oceanography /Marine Geophysics/ Marine Geology) (OR) M.Tech Ocean technology /Oceanography /Physical oceanography /Marine geophysics /Marine geology with three years R&D experience and one publication in standard refereed journals as listed in JCR.

2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) -  M. Sc. in Oceanography/ Physical oceanography / Physics with at least 60% with two years of research experience and one publication in SCI journal (OR) M. Tech in Ocean Technology / Ocean Sciences from a recognized university/Institute with at least 60%

3. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - M. Sc. in Oceanography/ Physical oceanography / Physics with at least 60% marks and NET /GATE / DST INSPIRE qualified

Age Limit:

Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1 - 28 Years), (For Post 2 - 32 Years), (For Post 3 - 35 Years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules.
