Eligibility Criteria for Cochin Shipyard Vacancy 2018:

Educational Qualification:

Pass in SSLC and Three year Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Electrical disciplines issued by a State Board of Technical Education with 60% marks or equivalent qualification with flair for Draftsmanship and proficiency in CAD

Age Limit:

Shall not exceed 25 years as on 15 Jan 2018 relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD)

Pay Scale Details for Cochin Shipyard Ship Draftsman Trainee:

Pay Scale:

The period of training will be two years. The Ship Draftsman Trainees will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 8500/-pm during the first year of training, ` 8900/-pm during the second year and compensation for extra hours of work limited to ` 4200/- pm. No other payment will be applicable

Selection Procedure for Cochin Shipyard Ship Draftsman Trainee:

Written and Practical Test to be held at Kochi. The written test is objective type and will include questions on General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Discipline related. Based on the marks secured in the Written Test, the candidates will be short-listed for the Practical Test. For the practical test, candidates are required to prepare a drawing using CAD.
