Eligibility Criteria
for IOB Vacancy 2017:
Educational Qualification:
1.
Senior Economist - The Senior Economist will be
responsible for providing strategic inputs to the top management of the Bank.
He/ She will be required to analyze and evaluate economic and financial
indicators of national and international level and assess their impact on
various markets and asset classes. He /She may also work on costs incurred by
the bank on specific line of activities and the returns expected from such
activities.
Minimum post Graduate in
Economics with specialization in monetary/financial econometrics
from a recognized Indian /Foreign University /Institute Preference will be
given to candidates with doctorate degree in areas of money banking,
international finance.
Minimum
10 years work experience as an economist in a commercial Bank /Financial
Institution or other reputed Corporate Organization or Teaching experience as
Lecturer/Professor in Economics in a College / University or combined
experience as an economist and in teaching. -Should possess excellent
communication skills. -Contribution to leading publications and participation
in various economic fora for a will be an added advantage.

Chief Customer Service Officer - He/ She will be
reporting directly to the MD & CEO/ Executive Director of the Bank and
shall be the focal point for internal Grievance Redressal System in terms of
Damodaran Committee recommendations so that a minimum number of complaints are
escalated to Banking Ombudsman. He /She will help in strengthening customer
confidence in the internal redressal mechanism
Retired General Manager from a
Public Sector Bank other than Indian Overseas Bank
Should
have retired as GM from any Scheduled Commercial Bank (other than Indian
Overseas Bank) with a minimum of 10 years experience in the operational front
Age Limit:
Candidate’s
Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1 - 45
Years), (For Post 2 - 60 Years). The Upper
age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for
Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC
PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper

Pay Scale Details for IOB Senior Economist, Chief Customer
Service Officer:
Pay Scale:
1.
Senior Economist - Rs.75000/ per month all inclusive subject to deduction of
taxes.
2.
Chief Customer Service Officer - Rs.60, 000/- per month all inclusive subject
to deduction of taxes
Selection Procedure for IOB Senior Economist, Chief Customer Service Officer:
Candidates will be
selected based on Interview
After scrutiny of the
online applications received, only eligible candidates will be called for
Personal Interview. The short-listing and call for interview will be on the
basis of the details provided by the candidates (regarding educational
qualification and work experience) in the online application. The Bank would be
free to reject the candidature of any candidate at any stage of the recruitment
process, if he / she is found to be ineligible and / or furnished incorrect or
false information / certificates / documents or has suppressed any material
facts; and the fees paid by the ineligible candidates shall be forfeited
Bank reserves the right
to shortlist requisite number of candidates based on the academic track record
of the candidate, experience and suitability of the candidates, as decided by
the Bank and only those shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview or
for any other process as decided by the Bank.
The interview venue, time
& date for Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the
Interview call letter and candidates have to attend the same at their own cost.
The call letter will be sent by email only. The details of shortlisted
candidates for Interview or any other process will be hosted in our website.
Request for change of Centre will not be entertained. However, the Bank
reserves its right to change / add / cancel the selection process &
schedule at its discretion, under unforeseen circumstances, if any. Change, if
any, will be announced in our Bank's website / by email. Bank will not be
responsible for late receipt / non receipt of any communication from the Bank.
Hence, candidates are requested to check their email and Bank's website
regularly, to keep track of the process
The Interview process
will carry an aggregate of 100
Marks and will be on aspects like 1) Subject Knowledge, 2) Communication Skills
& 3) Presentation & Attitude. Final selection will be made on
the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Interview process and will
be according to the merit ranking
